A HEALTH SYSTEM WITH A 97 PHYSICIAN MULTISPECIALTY GROUP IN TEXAS. Management (MSO) and practice development long term management contract. Initially, the scope was a 3-month consulting and reorganization project of the health systems recently developed medical group. Currently, GroupOne manages the group and the billing functions under contract. The Medical Group is a multi-specialty group of over 97 doctors, which, under the direction of GroupOne grew from 31 doctors to 97 doctors within three and a half years. 84% of all physicians currently practicing with the system benchmark in the upper 10% of the MGMA Best Practice statistics for compensation. GroupOne serves as the Chief Administrative Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Practice Management Team and the central billing office.

420 DOCTOR MULTISPECIALTY GROUP IN THE SOUTHERN MIDWEST. Central Billing Office reorganization and process redesign project for a 420 doctor multi-specialty group. The scope of the project was 10 months long and yielded phenomenal results in increased revenues. Monthly cash collections increased from $9,000,000.00 monthly to $15,000,000.00, while eliminating duplication of staffing and processes.

ACADEMIC UNIVERSITY HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER. An on-going insurance outsourcing project, focused on outstanding claims resolution. Our on-site associates are responsible for reimbursement management and training for university staff Medicare and Medicaid claim management techniques. Our associates hold weekly meetings with the Shared Billing and Collection administration staff to review denial tracking reports and statistical tracking data.

45 PHYSICIAN GROUP OF PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIANS IN OKLAHOMA. Project designed to spin down existing Account Receivables for 3 medical group entities that are merging into a new information management system, allowing the new system to go "live" without the hassles of old account receivables. In addition to the spin down project, our coding professionals developed reporting mechanisms to track denials and correct deficiencies within the coding and nomenclature arena.

HOSPITAL AND CLINICS SYSTEM IN HAWAII. Central Billing office reorganization and process redesign for a 150 physician multi-specialty group. The project management responsibilities include both physician and Hospital billing. GroupOne functions as the CBO director, with permanent on-site management. Recently, GroupOne acquired the account Receivables over 90 days for physician charges. The client entered an agreement to continue to outsource all physician A/R over 90 days to GroupOne.

A 68 DOCTOR SURGICAL GROUP IN SOUTH FLORIDA. Central billing office redesign project, along with patient flow and coding consulting. Our associates were responsible for creating new policy and procedures for the merging of two medical group management structures under a new management system. Additionally, we were responsible for reduction in the Account Receivables.

A NON PROFIT HEALTH SYSTEM WITH AN AQUIRED MEDICAL GROUP. Practice assessment and CBO reorganization project for a group of 40 multi-specialty physicians. GroupOne administered practice audits and review clinical and patient flow processes, as well as consulting with the Hospital administrative staff to produce and revamp physician financial reports. Project scope included training and educational sessions with the physicians regarding new compensation development. Additionally, GroupOne redesigned encounter forms/Superbills, created a new fee schedule while converting the group to RBRVS based fees and created benchmarking for E/M codes. The managed care portion of the engagement was for review of EOB to verify payments under negotiated fee rates.

A PRIVATELY HELD MEDICAL GROUP IN ILLINOIS. Project focus was on Central Business Office redesign and implementation, process redesign, implementation of central registration department, restructuring of the fee schedule and established performance based contracts for members of this 35 physician multi-specialty group. GroupOne also performed chart analysis for family practice physicians in the group to evaluate and determine correct coding and compliance.
